Boys and girls and children of all ages....We are in chicago. We left at 1 am and got here at roughly 4 pm. We're making a run to the battle bunker here in town and then hitting up one of the famous pizza joints I think. Lookin foward to hitting Adepticon bright and early in the morning.

So Yea its been a lil bit........

So yea its been a bit since i've updated this thing. This past month has been ruff.....still nothing on the job front...and I lost a very good friend of mine. R.I.P Whitney....she was 22. Sad times Sad Times.
To report on that 3000 point tourny that we went to, it was ....well horrible. The first game we pulled a Dark Eldar Player. Raider list. This was my first time ever even being near a dark eldar army being played....can we say BROKEN! He had us freaking tabled by the start of turn 3. It was just that bad and to top it off the player was just a douche bag about it too. His codex was a stack of papers that were falling all over the place. The army was nothing but black base coat dry brushed this bright blue.
Second game, well I was asked by my partner to sit that one out. I know that sounds bad but there was a reason. This kid....and by kid yes I mean a true kid, probably only like 10 or 11 yrs old, who didn't even have a real list or anything, had to have the judge assist him with a list....anywayz before i start a rant there, We got tabled with him. My partner knew i didn't have the patience to deal with that kinda "teaching" game. Personally a tournament, is no freakin place for a teaching game. I say that was a bad call on the hands of the tourny organizers.
Third game we pulled one of the guys that actually traveled with us up there and his armored company. Now personally I don't have an issue with the armored company list....The movement across the board was ruff yes but once we started summoning our demon packs on the Russ's it was all over....tank after tank went up. The list is scary but not that strong at all in 5th ed.
Over all with the army we took I was pleased with the way it functioned. I'm REALLY REALLY pleased with the way the demon packs worked. People might underestimate them...but for a the ability to take as many troop choices as you have points? and teh fact that for all intensive purposes they are marines? Yea I think I'll stick to using a demon heavy chaos army which does happen to go well with my word bearers theme.

3000 Pt tourny next weekend.

The game store that I posted about in the last entry is also hosting a 3000 point tourny next weekend. The odd thing about it is that they are allowing you to take a team of two players if you want to. So I'm thinking that there will be an odd mix of teams vs single players. The teams have to take up a single force org chart between the two of them so that is going to make things interesting to say the least. Myself and a friend of mine, "Spanky" have decided and signed up to take a Chaos Marine army as a team. His portion will be a "lash" oriented Black Legion force and mine is going to be a strickly Thousand Sons force and I'll be "demon boy" for us as well taking all the minor demons. I'm posting my 1500 points....let me know what you think. Please Honest and Tame critizim only please.

Zombie Event!

Well due in no small part to the lack of a FLGS here in Columbus, we're forced to travel out of town to get in any real gaming. Mostly we head to Atlanta, which for those who don't know, is about 90 miles north east-ish of Columubs Anyway there is a little game shop in Fayetville, Ga called Treefort Games. I started going there for a tournament/campaign type event they were running about 2 months ago. Its a nice small store with a really friendly owner. He's trying and has local support and that all goes a long way to me.

Anyway, more to the point, He is hosting a Zombie Event for friday the 13th. The only rules we know of is to bring 200 points of core troops choices. I'll get pics and have them posted either friday when i get back or saturday morning.

Well as my first recorded blogging of an army, I'm beginning an Thousand Sons Army to participate in Da Big Waaagh Coming up in Memphis, Tn. this year. Starting tomorrow I'll be posting regularly on here about my ideas, WIP pics and the like as I try to get a strong, solid list together for this tourny.
